The 8NCX900 is a 8" diameter state-of-the-art neodymium coaxial transducer designed for reproducing natural, high SPL mid-high spectrum in point source applications. 

The MF cone provides smooth response within its intended frequency range thanks to its high damping pulp composition. Equipped with proprietary 4-slot metal alloy phase plug, the integrated 75mm (3") HF compression driver has been designed to give smooth coherent wavefront in the horn entrance in all working frequency range and high level manufacturing consistency. A copper ring on the pole piece reduces the inductance figure of frequencies above 10 kHz, improving phase and impedance linearisation.
The diaphragm assembly is made by joining the former directly to the titanium dome on its upper bend edge. In comparison with a usual straight former joint, the driver's design assures extended frequency energy transfer for improved response linearity and unparallel reliability. This feature facilitates proper motion control of the dome in real working conditions. A proprietary treated Nomex former is used as Nomex shows a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. Moreover, this proprietary former material is also suitable for use in higher moisture content environments. The diaphragm kit self centering design allows high precision mounting and at the same time makes very easy the servicing procedure. A specificaly designed HF exit profile design has been chosen in order to maximize the cone’s profile coupling.
The unique dual magnet single motor features two high grade neodymium rings that are placed nearby the LF and HF magnetic gaps in order to optimize the magnetic flux in both sections of the transducer.
